Phil Whitson
Phil has been a Software Consultant for over 40 years with his own Consulting company. His clients include both fortune 500 companies as well as Government DoD. His goal is to give back to the community in addressing the Homeless situation. Specifically, to the youth (16-20) who lack the opportunity and training to do so. Phil assisted in creating Train the Homeless to help tackle this issue. Through training in vocational skills along with moral and ethics coaching our aim is to prepare these young adults for a journey to support themselves. Our goal is to have these young lives contributing to making this a better society to live in.

Denise Whitson
Denise Whitson has had a career as an administration executive in one of the largest School Districts in the country. She has also had extensive experience in working with young people in helping guide them in their career paths. She brings this much needed experience to Train the Homeless as a Board member. She also is active in assisting and counselling women who have recently become Widows. Being one herself she brings comfort and empathy to those who are going through this phase in their lives.

Bill Ennis
Bill began his career as a video storyteller and content creator in 1982. For the last 15 years, he’s focused exclusively on partnering with nonprofits, and has had the honor to work with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Seneca/Kinship Center, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Providence Speech & Hearing, Families Forward, the Simon Scholarship Foundation, OC Human Relations and more. He also has had the honor of creating the Outstanding Honoree tribute videos for Orange County’s National Philanthropy Day for the last 17 years, and currently sits on the Orange County Association of Fundraising Professionals Board of Directors..

Terri Taylor Pastor
Terri Taylor Pastor has over 20 years in Real Estate Development and 20 years in both Residential and Commercial Property sales serving the Southern California area. She is also involved in a Woman’s Ministry. One of Terri’s long term goals is to establish housing for homeless families. Terri was instrumental in creating Train the Homeless (TTH)with her desire to create a permanent solution for those that find themselves homeless and truly want an opportunity to improve their situation. A helping hand and not just a hand out. TTH is very fortunate to have Terri and her vision of building a solution for the homeless.

Brian Spurgeon
Brian Spurgeon is the CEO of a Residential and Commercial building maintenance company in Southern California. He has also had extensive training in the area of Theology and brings to the Board guidelines of morals and ethics that Train the Homeless instills on participants in the program. In business Brian understands and can articulate the importance of taking pride in your work. The purpose and goal of Train the Homeless is to help create people who contribute to society in a positive manner. Morals and ethics training is a key component to our program. Brian’s background of self-determination and doing what other people said could not be done is a much needed facet to coaching young people today.

Travis Whitson
Travis Whitson is a Graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He has held a position in management with a large Grocery Chain based in Texas for 5 years before moving into Finance working for a large Banking institution headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Travis holds the position of Chief Financial Officer for Train the Homeless (TTH) and is managing TTH in financial matters of budgets, investments, liquidity and tax preparation.
